The Power of visualisation

When you visualise, you are able to actively see what it is that you are trying to achieve. By doing so in a conscious state, allows your body to do two things. The first is that it allows you to actively see your ‘end goal’ - that is, the final stage after you’ve reached an important goal or milestone. The second, is that it allows you to see the process of reaching that point - including all the work that it will take you to get there.

You can actively visualise when you are prompted by certain questions - such as ‘where do you see yourself in 5 years?’. When asked this, you may see yourself starting a new business, or buying a new house, or on a beach relaxing somewhere in a private villa. Whatever it is, those direct positive images that come into your mind when imagining your future, are powerful examples of visualisation.

We love Muhammad Ali’s quote: ‘If my mind can conceive it and my heart can believe it - then I can achieve it”. We love this quote because it speaks volumes about the power that visualisation can have. There’s nothing that you can’t achieve if you form a smart goal that is clear, and implement the steps required to achieve it. When you find a dream is hard to achieve, or that you’re losing motivation to go on - visualisation can be a powerful tool to get you back on track. When you visualise how it will look when you finally achieve whatever it is your are after, and when you visualise how it will feel, you will be inspired to keep going.

Visualisation can also be impactful in realising what it is you want. Often when we are visualising, we are positioning ourselves in our happiest state in the future. Doing so can bring up a lot of emotions, that we can then work through to realise what it is that we are truly chasing and what makes us truly happy.

We encourage you to incorporate visualisation as part of your day to day life. It doesn't need to be daily (although it definitely can be!) but visualisation can be a tool that you can use in your toolkit when you get stuck to help you be the best version of you.
